GMO-free europe

Seven different organisations (Alternattiva Demokratika-The Green party, Friends of the Earth, Genista Foundation, Malta Organic Agriculture Movement, Move!, Moviment Graffiti, National Council of Women, Nature Trust, Progressive Farmers, Union, Vegetarian Society) have come together to support the call for a GMO-free Malta, based on the precautionary principle, made by Alternattiva Demokratika and the Kirkop Local Council.

In December (2005?) the Government has set up a Biosafety Co-ordinating Committee which should lead to the formulation of a national policy on the issue.
